FBI Releases Files on Notorious B.I.G. Murder Case

The FBI released some records from the investigation into the murder of Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G.

The records were released to the FBI's Vault website under the Freedom of Information Act, and provide few new details about the 1997 murder. The investigation was closed in 2005 and remains unsolved.

New info from the case includes the fact that Among that Wallace, was gunned down by a "very rare" Gecko 9 mm armor piercing ammunition, which is seldom found in the U.S.

At the time of his murder, Biggie, as he was called, was one of the biggest stars in hip-hop. His murder came on the heels of murder of Tupac Shakur, which also shocked the industry.
