Ke$ha "TiK ToK" Parody Video
I feel way out of the loop. I barely know who Ke$ha is, but it seems like all the music bloggers have something to say about her. Apparently she's a pop star who parties a lot? And this is apparently supposed to be shocking or different from the rest of celebrity culture? Go figure!
This parody of Ke$ha's "TiK ToK" is pretty funny, I guess, but it seems like it's taking pot shots at a pretty easy target. It's got some clever bits, but it feels kinda stale. Major pop stars are often controlled by their labels! Just because you can say this in clever rhymes does not make it a very insightful critique. Neither does calling a woman you've never met a "drunken whore."
But the video is worth watching for the glitter vomit! It's simultaneously repulsive and fabulous.
