Kristen Schaal's Penelope Princess of Pets Comes to BBC TV
Adapted from the Funny or Die series of the same name, Kristen Schaal and Kurt Braunohler's Penelope Princess of Pets pilot will premiere on BBC's Channel Four on April 21. As good as American TV is right now, I am pretty jealous of this! Kristen Schaal is fantastic, and the show also co-stars Julian Barratt of The Mighty Boosh, a personal favorite of mine.
The teaser makes the show look like a pretty direct descendant of the web series, albeit with a larger budget and higher production values. Even the super-catchy theme song, performed by Reggie Watts (currently on tour with Conan O'Brien), remains fully intact.
