MIT Unveils Autonomous Oil Cleaning Robot
MIT researchers recently unveiled Seaswarm, an autonomous robot designed for ocean-skimming and oil removal. Utilizing nanotechnology straight out of the science fiction world, Seaswarm can absorb up to 20 times its weight in oil. The units are designed to work as a fleet or "swarm," using GPS and WiFi to coordinate their efforts. This video explains the project. For more information, you can visit the Seaswarm website.
