Movie Trailer: Lena Dunham's Tiny Furniture
Lena Dunham's indie feature Tiny Furniture generated a fair amount of buzz after winning the juried narrative film prize at this year's SXSW festival. The film was shot on a microscopic budget compared to what passes for "indie" on the big screen these days.
Dunham, who wrote, directed, and stars in the film, was only 23 when it was finished, although you wouldn't necessarily know it. Judging by the trailer alone, this looks like the mature, accomplished work of a seasoned comedy director. Those are probably the sort of qualities that attracted a theatrical distribution deal with IFC and an upcoming television project produced by Judd Apatow.
Tiny Furniture comes to selected theaters on November 12.
