Movie Trailer: Skyline
Not every indie film is a sensitive, talky picture about people's feelings. Sometimes indie directors make flashy science-fiction pictures too. OK, not often, but sometimes. Greg and Colin Strause's Skyline was self-financed and shot largely in the duo's condo. Granted, they run a major Hollywood visual effects company, but that doesn't get in the way of the fact that this is still very much a picture made outside the Hollywood machine. Of course, you wouldn't know it from the trailer (or the distribution deal with Universal). Will this "indie" flick subvert the expectations of mainstream genre cinema or will it just be a cheaper version of every other Hollywood crapfest?
