New Toy Story 3 Trailer from Pixar
Pixar has a second trailer out for the upcoming Toy Story 3 It's nice to see familiar characters back in action, especially recast in gorgeous new settings. As is to be expected, the animation is unbelievable. Pixar grows with leaps and bounds with each new picture, and this one is no exception. The textures and lighting all look phenomenal.
But stunning animation alone does not make a good film. Luckily Pixar has a pretty good track record in that regard as well. While I wouldn't expect any poetic, borderline experimental sequences like those contained in Wall-E and Up, but it looks like it'll deliver the goods nonetheless. It might not break new ground, but a safe, solid Pixar film is still better than pretty much any other family friendly offering.
