Obama's Avant-Garde Weekly Address
The Onion nailed this one. The popular satirical news site published an article today called "Obama's Weekly Video Addresses Becoming Increasingly Avant-Garde." It's an absurd premise, and, oddly, one of the rare articles on the site where the content is actually funnier than the headline promises. With references throughout to real-life video artists like Nam June Paik and Sadie Benning, someone obviously did their homework. To really sell the joke, they produced this fake Weekly Address. While it's not outlandish as those suggested in the body of the article, it's the perfect accompaniment to the absurdist joke.
