Rise of the Cubicle Farmer

The social web is a great thing. It connects people with people; people with ideas; and, people with opportunities all by way of technology.

Now, it's no secret that the web, social media and mobile technology has transformed how we conduct business. There's basically never a need to be chained to your desk as most business professionals can conduct their activities anywhere, with the help of an internet connect, a laptop/iPad and a mobile device (probably a smart phone like a Droid or iPhone). Sometimes all that's needed is a smartphone and cup of coffee.

That "on-the-go but working mentality" is the premise behind WorkShifting.com.

Recently, the crew from the LaC project (also bloggers over at WorkShifting.com) hit the road on an "epic journey to discover the changing landscape of "work."  The are calling it the "Rise of the Cubicle Farmer."
