Comic book fans and other assorted geeks rejoiced as the first full-length theatrical trailer for Edgar Wright film adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was released this weekend.

It looks pretty OK, I guess. I've never read the comic books, so I don't really have any sort of "expectations" for this movie, but it looks pretty fun. It looks like there's a lot of Michael Cera being Michael Cera, so if that's not your thing, you may want to steer clear of this one.

Personally, I find the whole premise of the film—Scott Pilgrim has to fight the seven evil exes of the girl he's trying to woo—a little weirdly misogynistic, but hey, if you just roll with it, maybe this will be pretty good?

I will probably want to see it if only to get my Aubrey Plaza fix. With Parks & Recreation getting shafted with a midseason slot next year, I'll have to wait until January to see her light up the screen again. Here's hoping she actually gets some semi-substantial screen time in this flick!
