Spike Jonze Premieres Robot Love Story/Vodka Ad
Spike Jonze is known for his unpredictable and clever work, and his new short film, I'm Here, which premiered at Sundance this Thursday, is no exception.
Described as a "robot love story," the thirty-minute short was produced in collaboration with Absolut Vodka. A bizarre collision of art and advertising, Jonze's new film came out of the same sort of restriction-free working relationship that led to a series of absurd Absolut shorts in 2008 with Zach Galifianakis, Tim Heidecker, and Eric Wareheim.
While I'm Here isn't available for general public consumption yet, you can check out the striking trailer below, which looks really promising. And below that, I've embedded one of the Galifianakis/Tim & Eric collaborations, because those will never stop being funny.
