Is it even possible to convey a thought, let alone a message, in 5 seconds? Yes. Ok, sort of.
The above video, at slightly over 3 minutes, contains some of the weirdest, funniest and most bizarre 5-second films you've seen. There's a magic act that ends in a spontaneous abortion, the history of Cinco de Mayo, a father and toddler-daughter doing tequila shooters who then go on a sand-castle kicking frenzy, a reporter/shooter who both starts and reports on a shooting rampage in progress and so on and so forth in the 5-second film genre mix. It's both brilliant and unsettling, kind of like a Tarantino film with ADD.
The compilation is a collaboration between UPROXX.com and 5secondfilms.com, the latter being the brain child of site creator Brian "Mossman" Firenz, who according to the about page describes the impetus of the site as, "5-Second Films was created by Brian “Boss Man” Firenzi in the Spring of 2005, after being disappointed by so many 5,400-second films. The rules are simple: 2 seconds of beginning titles, 5 seconds of film, 1 second of end titles. If you take umbrage with these 5sfs running at an actual length of 8 seconds, we can only assume you’re no fun at dinner parties."
