Google opened the doorway for Canadians to rent HD movies through the Android Market today, and the catalog is impressive. Prior to today, Canadians only had the option of cable PPV, iTunes Movies, Playstation Video Store and Netflix. Now, Canada has access to the Movies section in the Android Market, where they can search for movies based by category, and see what's in their Library after renting the movie.

Each movie rented has an expiry as with most online video stores. The Android Market will let you have access to the movie 30 days after renting, where you then would have 24 hours to watch the movie after starting it for the first time. prices range from $3.99 - $4.99, and let you see a trailer of the movie, along with viewer reviews and critic reviews on the rental landing page.

Usually Canadians are some of the last to get services like this, but Google has really been dropping the releases lately, so from a Canadian...thank you Google!
