Kerry Campbell, a British beautician living in San Francisco, thought it was perfectly normal to inject her 8 year old daughter, Britney with Botox.

Authorities thought otherwise and removed 8 year old Britney Campbell from her mother’s custody.

According to ABC News’ Good Morning America, Kerry Campbell has lost custody of Britney while she is under investigation. In an interview with the Sun out of the United Kingdom, Britney said, “my friends think it’s cool I have all the treatments. They want to be like me. I check every night for wrinkles, and when I see some, I want more injections.”

Botox, an injection shot into the skin to temporarily get rid of wrinkles, is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18. Kerry Campbell has outraged the world in her attempt at perfection for her 8 -year -old daughter and beauty pageant wins.

Parents are supposed to love their children unconditionally and teach their kids that self-worth and beauty is about what is on the inside.

Ms. Campbell said, “It’s tough in the pageant world. The kids are harsh.”

Children go through the grueling hours of make-up and hair styling to get a doll like look. Eden Wood, 6, gets waxed and tans to achieve her doll like look for the Melbourne Pageant.

There are more constructive and less destructive ways to help our children see their true beauty. Women learn to compete against each other as they get older without the help of beauty pageants and parents living through children vicariously.

Hopefully, Britney Campbell will have a shot at normalcy in her life and hopefully her mother receives extensive counseling.
