Is Your Skin Cream Making Your Children Fat?

Researchers in New York have confirmed that there is a link between childhood obesity and phthalates, which are additives to thousands of common cosmetic products.

Let me also explain, as a hardcore scientist by nature, what happens when our body encounters toxins and other hormone-like molecules. Because these toxins are usually fat-soluble in nature, they tend to become surrounded by fat to protect your system.  The more toxins you have in the system, the more fat you'll need to protect it. As you consume fat, it automatically will stay in your body, as a natural protection mechanism, to ensure that you don't get sick from toxic materials.

It's relatively simple to make sure that your system doesn't crave fat  - Remove toxins everywhere around you, including within your diet, skin care products, cosmetics, and home.  I've been using a basic rule - "If I wouldn't eat it, don't put it on my skin" for all of my cosmetics.  It makes shopping a whole lot more simple. For example, coconut oil is wonderful as a moisturizer, and is safe for kids, pets, and many other things around the house! Your body will thank you. I'm hoping we can learn to keep our children safe by choosing natural products, which will protect us from becoming walking toxin gatherers.
