Moms Get Ready For The Frenzy of Q4

Since we are nearly at the end of October now, you know that Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are oh so close around the corner!
For us moms this usually means a frenzy of gift buying, costume buying, shopping, cooking and catering for guests. Yes, the last quarter of the year, Q4 as it is known in the retail and business sector is upon us again. Seems to get faster each year doesn't it?
It is an incredibly busy time and I know that I sure don't look forward to it with as much excitement as my children do. It's not only that there is so much going on but these last few months are a serious drain on finances as well.
Anyhow, over the years, I've developed a rough and ready tool-kit for getting through this time unscathed and I'm going to share it with you now:
5 Tips to Help You Trailblaze Through Q4
1. Get organized
Make good use of your calendars, diaries and phone calendars and make a note of all your important dates.
Don't carry this information around in your head!
2. Use your to-do lists to get you into action
Write down a rough plan for meeting the demands of each "date".
For example, for Halloween, you'll want to decide whether you need to buy new Halloween outfits for your kids or whether you can improvise on what you already have.
If you are hosting a Halloween party, make plans, with dates and costing, as to what has to be done. Food, drink, invites, treats, decorating your house. How much will each item cost? What can you cut back on to reduce costs?
3. Shop online
Shop around for deals and make use of free shipping offers and discounts. The main advantage, apart from being able to buy things a lot cheaper online, is that you get goods delivered directly to your door.
