When Steve Jobs passed away, we at Autisable were swamped with blog posts highlighting what his efforts with Apple have done to help families with Autism.

We read about the mother who, for the first time, heard her daughter say, "mummy". Or the countless number of parent's who have shared how the technology has assisted their children in communicating their thoughts and ideas.

What's interesting is how this technology has opened up the doors of communication, allowing the world to see beyond the veil of Autism, and finding how normal people with Autism really are.

In true fashion, Steve Jobs not only showed us how to 'think different' - but also showed us how children with Autism 'think different' as well.

If you have a child with Autism, or even an iPad, just know that Steve Jobs determination has given a voice to those who were unable to speak.

His vision has provided serious direction on countless therapists and other business - inspiring a whole new industry that is assisting families with Autism.

We thank Steve Jobs, and Apple Inc., for their efforts in giving a voice to those who were once unable to speak.
