Suri and Scientology... Where does the Future Lead?

I have not owned a TV in over seven years. I have not had a magazine subscription in almost ten years. I normally have to find out about current events and what the stars do through my friends and family.
So why am I suddenly glued to every single article written about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes??? I am baffled as to why now, all of a sudden, I'm fascinated by this this pair. So intrigued, I actually went back and watched the Oprah video, where Tom kept kneeling and jumping on the couch like a sugar-rushed teen boy in love for the first time.
Then I realized, all of a sudden what I was drawn to. It's really taking a look at their lifestyle, and the effect it has on their children.
I never did really understand Scientology, and I still don't. The most I've heard about is the "quiet child birth" practice. The truth is that their difference in religious backgrounds (she considers herself more Catholic, he is a practicing Scientologist), is something that interests me.
There are all these concerns about how kids grow up, if raised exposed to Scientology. If Suri will have access to both Catholic and Scientologist belief systems, she may actually have a better chance at reaching her own conclusions, and ideas of spirituality.
Growing up in a Baptist only household, I have an appreciation for spiritual grounding. However, there were also limitations because I wasn't exposed to Hinduism, Islam, or many other of the world's faiths. I realize that having exposure to multi-theistic ideas helps to expand your consciousness and understanding of the world. It also helps you appreciate the diversity of religions and cultures across the globe as well.
So while some public opinions seem to be saying that Suri will suffer if exposed to her father's faith, I say that it'll help her have an open mind to see her parents have different religions. Children should be able to explore ideas, ask questions, and see the world from their own eyes. Whether Tom and Katie get through this thing together or end up separating, as long as they continue to provide a safe, nurturing and exploratory environment for her, I'm sure she'll grow up fine.
