It's a good thing that the police are investigating Texas judge William Adams after video shows him blatantly beating his 16-year-old daughter. The video, now watched over 2 million times on YouTube, occurred in 2004.

Hillary Adams, the judge's daughter, uploaded the video showing. She recently went on television to explain why she did it. She said it happened often when she was young. Texas police launched an investigation int whether her father, an Aransas county court judge, broke the law.

Ms Adams said, “He's supposed to be a judge who exercises fit judgment.” This is almost all the evidence the jury will need to hear regarding the charge of hypocrisy. That and the fact that this judge is a family court judge.

How many families has this judge told to behave and to not beat their kids? Probably hundreds of times a year. And the entire time judge William Adams has been beating his daughter. At least one time, he did so across her legs.

And the jury of public opinion has already decided that the judge is guilty, the judge has received threatening phone calls and faxes at the courthouse since the video's arrival on YouTube. I suppose that some of those threats are of the nature the judge made to his daughter, “Lay down or I'll spank you in your fucking face.”

In my opinion, this judge just needs is a little visit by Walker, Texas Ranger.
